Who can't love a hard working band of Canadians channeling late 60s rock? Stephen McBean's Black Mountain won over fans and critics with their 2005 self titled debut. The album is filled with songs that follow in the footsteps of bands like the Velvet Underground and Blue Cheer. But they're more than just revivalists. There's true musicianship at work here, not to mention the action between McBean and his vocal companion, Amber Webber.
