Buzzcocks: A Different Kind Of Tension (Indie Exclusive Colored Vinyl) Vinyl LP

Buzzcocks: A Different Kind Of Tension (Indie Exclusive Colored Vinyl) Vinyl LP

A Different Kind of Tension is the third album by The Buzzcocks, considered at the time by Rolling Stone to be ā€œtheir most formidable record yetā€. This album features the lineup of (the late, great)Ā Pete Shelley, Steve Diggle (who wrote a few tunes), Steve Garvey, and John Maher, and is again produced by Martin Rushent (The Stranglers,Ā The Human League). Sonically, it runs the gamut from their earliest singles to a teaser of their later, more experimental work both as a group and solo artists. ā€œHollow Insideā€ is a scrappy bass riff and shimmering post punk guitars, ā€œA Different Kind of Tensionā€ is rat-tat-tat marching band drums and robotic call-and response vocals. ā€œYou Say You Don’t Love Meā€ would fit neatly with the tracks from Singles Going Steady, ā€œMad, Mad Judyā€ is an angular rock and roll stomper. The audio has been freshly remastered from the original 1/4ā€ tapes, and includes a 12x12 booklet with photos and lyrics. The LP is pressed on opaque yellow vinyl and comes in a custom inner sleeve with rounded corners.Ā
