Opener “Work” apes Elvis Costello and the preppy quirk of Joe Jackson, “The Thing Is” is a Springsteen-esque piano stomper. “Livin’ A Lie” is kitchen sink psychedelia, while “The Conclusion” is broken-down funk. This special edition comes pressed on heavyweight pink vinyl and features a bonus disc with demo versions of 6 album tracks.
