Lana Del Rey: West Coast Remixes (Four Tet, MK, Black Keys) Vinyl 12"
Hot fire remixes from one of the summerās biggest hits. Ā Lana Del Reyās second album āUltraviolenceā has dominated the airwaves all summer long and now we are treated to a handful of quality remixes of her lead single āWest Coastā. First out of the gates is Four Tet twisting the song up in his signature laid back dance vibes while looping and layering the vocals to great effect. DJs beware: if youāre playing this out be prepared for the cheeky, sudden silence that comes half way through the song. Stintās remix takes the song into catchy synth-pop territory but still manages to throw in a random trap breakdown while the Camo & Krooked remix takes a similar synthy angle with more of a toned down, techy feel. The real standout comes from the legend MK, with a bouncing and infectious house beat. He leaves the vocals untouched and lets LDRās voice shine on top of the jacking rhythms. The record rounds out with Dan Auerbach (who produced on the album) giving us a more personal but simple alternate mix to the song. Ladies on the dance floor want the hits so give it to them in style.
