The influence of 80’s Chicago house is ubiquitous in Paranoid London’s output to date, and hard-hitting jack trax is still the name of the game on this 12-inch. Gerardo Delgado & Quinn Whalley waste no time rolling out the Roland funk with a bruising 808 and sinister acid bassline squirming through all seven minutes of the A-side. The looping vocal refrain (“just give me the…”) recalls golden era Dance Mania the way it's relentlessly beaten into the ground. If that isn’t enough for you, the P.L. boys slice up the acid and double down on the beats on pulverizing flip side track “Our Man Though”. Grip now or cry later.
