Pepe Bradock: Deep Burnt Edits Vinyl 12"
Paris, 2015: In an unexpected move, PĂ©pĂ© Bradock interrupts his busy schedule of releasing what could best be described as alien sex cult techno and cow orgy sounds to release two edits of his most well known record (âSurprise!â) that strangely donât sound any different from the original (âThe Surprise Is That There Is No Surprise!â). 1999âs âDeep Burntâ is a pretty well known tune for casual deep house punters and electronic music tourists, but if youâve kept up with everything PĂ©pĂ©âs released in the time since (or even the few years preceding it), itâs shocking he ever allowed something so beautiful and straightforward to slip through. Built (as far as I can tell) from just a handful of tactfully arranged samples, âDeep Burntâ demonstrates the massive heights you can achieve with very little kit and a lot of restraint. The full Burning EP is worth seeking out, but âDeep Burntâ is well worth the money spent picking up on its own, cut nice and loud here on PĂ©pĂ©âs own Atavisme label. 2018 repress in full pic sleeve, highly recommended.
- black 12" vinyl pressing
- both sides contain subtle edits of 'Deep Burnt'
- housed in picture sleeve
- music label:Â Atavisme 2018
