Primus: The Desaturating Seven (Colored Vinyl) Vinyl LP
New Primus! The Desaturating Seven is the bandās first official full-length since 2011ās Green Naugahyde and should be a breath of fresh air for longtime Primus fans, as the album is the first to feature founding member Tim Alexander on drums since 1995ās Tales From The Punchbowl (the drummer left the band in 1996 and has been on-again-off-again ever since). Seven slices of the SF trioās signature oddball prog, led by Les Claypoolās ingeniousĀ bass slapsĀ and mad scientist incantation. The concept of the album is inspired by a bugged-out Italian childrenās book called The Rainbow Goblins which Claypool apparently read to his kids when they were young. The album closely follows the story of the book, and track 1 (āThe Valleyā) features a special appearance by Tool bassist Justin Chancellor delivering a narration of The Goblin Master. Truly bugged out. Limited edition rainbow splatter colored vinyl with full-color printed insert and code for digital download.
