Scientist & Prince Jammy: Scientist And Jammy Strike Back! (Colored Vinyl) Vinyl LP - PRE-ORDER
A reissue of this spaced out holy grail dub session might be the silver liningĀ in thisĀ terribleĀ Star Wars reboot weāre currently being dragged through with no end in sight (donāt @ me). The cover alone should be a good enough excuse for any dub nerd OR Star Wars nerd, but if not, there's heavy bass and drumĀ Roots RadicsĀ rollage and vocals by Linval Thompson, Barrington Levy, Freddie McGregor and more mixed up by King Tubbyās most notorious proteges inna galaxy far far away. When Scientist and Jammy's are at the controls, I want them so zooted that they forget the difference between Star Wars, Star Trek and Star Jones, and thatās exactly what we get on this session versioned by two of the greatest to ever do it with track titles referencing the aforementioned franchises plus Buck Rogers and Mission Impossible, because why not. Youāll recognize the riddim from Freddie McGregorās āBig Shipā on opening track āStorming The Death Starā (see what they did there); other highlights include āThe Alien Abortsā (Freddieās āRoots Man Skankingā), āThe Princess Takes Her Revengeā (Wayne Wadeās āRound The World) and āC-3PO + R2D2 = The Forceā (Barrington Levyās āRob And Goneā). Style ScottĀ drums just donāt get any deadlier than they are on āBuck Rogers In The Black Holeā (Linval Thompson's āYou're Youngā). Recommended.
- 'translucent lightsaber blue' colored vinyl (please note: actual pressing color and packaging may differ from mock-up photo)
- printed inner sleeve
