Stereolab: Transient Random-Noise Bursts With Announcements Vinyl 3LP
Remastered 2LP reissue of Stereolab's 1993 album Transient Random-Noise Bursts With Announcements. This was "The Groopâs" second album of âmarxist background musicâ, krautrock-inspired indie pop with a rock edge. âJenny Ondiolineâ was the (18 minute!) lead single and a charmingly meandering mission statement, wall-of-sound guitar freakouts held at bay by rigid motorik drums. âIâm Going Out Of My Wayâ is built around a claustrophobic organ riff that nearly swallows LĂŠtitia Sadierâs restrained vocal. âGolden Bellâ is one of the headier cuts, a reverberating bass line leading a parade of skronking guitars. This album was freshly remastered from the original tapes and includes a bonus disc with demos, outtakes, and alternate versions. The LPs are packaged in a sturdy bespoke sleeve housed inside of a heavyweight clear PVC wallet. Also includes a fold-out poster with lyrics and liner notes.
